Theme Week - 'What A Wonderful World'
11th - 15th November 2019
As part of our whole school theme week, we were inspired by a range of fantastic books about Planet Earth to write some excellent poems and non-fiction, and create striking pieces of art. We hope you were able to come and share our work at our open morning.
9.9.19 List Poems
In English, we are reading and writing list poems. We began by reading 'Ten Things Found in a Wizard's Pocket' by Ian McMillan. We then wrote our own group poems inspired by this. Ideas included things found in the pocket's of Father Christmas', an explorer and an old lady!
Invasion!
Our topic this term is 'Invasion' and we will be learning lots about the Vikings.
Some questions we will be focusing on will be:
Where did the Vikings come from?
What made the Vikings so successful?
What made the Viking Longship a good mode of transport?
