26/11/20 - Today, we thought about our favourite author and composed a letter to them! ✉️
25/11/20 - Today we learnt to perform a poem with confidence! In small groups and then as a whole class, we read the poem 'Troglodytic Owner-Occupier' by Nick Toczek. It is a lively poem with lots of features that we were able to analyse 🐉 We also listened to some questions and answers from two famous authors 📗
25/11/20 - We had a draw along session from the Cheltenham Literature Festival resources with author and illustrator Alex T Smith (Claude at the Palace) ✏️
24/11/20 - In Owls today. we looked at 6 book covers by different authors and considered presentational devices. We thought about colours, images, fonts and symbols. We were then able to make inferences and consider the main plot and intended audience 📚 We also redesigned a front cover for our favourite book!
