World Book Day - 2nd March
Eagles had a fantastic day celebrating all things reading! First, founder of Readathon and local author, Brough Girling shared his memories and stories of the author Roald Dahl, which were really fascinating. Next the author, Mini Grey, led a workshop to share her ideas about how not to draw something! She then showed us step by step how to draw our own character - Tiny Doctor Frog! In the afternoon, we read Mini's book 'The Pea and the Princess' and wrote our own alternative fairy tales.

Theme Week - Out of this World!
Visit the 'News and Events' pages to learn more about what Eagles were up to during our recent theme week!
20.1.20
In English we are learning about biographies and reading about the life of Charles Dickens.
Did you know that when he was 12 years old he worked in a factory sealing and labelling jars of shoe polish?
20 books for 2020!
We have set ourselves a reading challenge this year in Eagles.
We researched and wrote wish lists of books we would like to read and were able to use money raised by our PTA to buy a variety of new books for our class book corner.
Here is what we are enjoying reading at the moment. What a variety! Eagles are always ready to recommend a book if you need help!
Our topic in terms 3 and 4 is Victorian Stroud
We will be researching what life was like in Victorian times. We will investigate various aspects of Victorian life in order to compare with life today including the railway, canal, schools and mills. We will try to build a picture of what Stroud looked like in the Victorian era and what it would have been like to live in Stroud during that period of history.
