Our topic this term is...
Kings and Queens!
Phonics Overview - Yellow Group
07.07 - Enjoying playing some tuned instruments with Mrs Bovington.
04.07 - We have begun decorating our puppets and they are looking amazing so far!
27.06 - We have begun creating our own puppets this week. You’ll have to wait to see the final products!
We also enjoyed creating some art work for the ‘Party on the field’ with the PTA.
24.06 - Hawks children have been blowing Miss Mills away with their wonderful writing this week. All of their wonderful books on how to capture a witch are now on display in our book corner with our other books.
We also had the pleasure of listening to some wonderful musicians playing their violins and some of us had a little go ourselves!
13.06 - Today we learnt about William the conqueror and how he became the King of England. We did some acting to retell this.
7.06 - Hawks enjoyed designing and creating their own crowns for the jubilee picnic. They also enjoyed drawing their own portraits of the queen and finding out fun facts about her.
We also enjoyed making our own hair bands, wands and arm ribbons for our Jubilee disco.
26.05 - This week we’ve been writing in role as Rapunzel and creating our own diary entries. We have wonderful writers in our class!
19.05 - This week we've been imagining we are Kings and Queens. We came up with some of our own rules we would put in place if we were in charge. Ask us about what our rules would be!
11.05 - We had a visit from Harold the giraffe this week. He helped us talk about our feelings and how to keep our bodies healthy.
10.05 - Hawks had a wonderful day at Berkeley Castle learning all about the different parts of a castle and going on a dragon trail!
26.04 - We started off the term learning about the religion Judaism. We learnt about what a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is and played a board game to apply our knowledge.
