Spring Terms 3 and 4
Our topic in Term 3 and Term 4 is:
‘Amazing Amazon!’
We will be learning about aspects of the rainforest including plants and animals and the threats to this precious environment. We will focus particularly on the Amazon Rainforest, the Amazon River basin and the continent of South America, comparing it to the UK.
In Music, we have been creating pizzas to help us understand musical notation!
Eagles celebrated World Book Day with some fantastic costumes! We are focusing on poetry this week - reading, performing and writing.
We had fun learning about the importance of maize to the Maya people and about the god of maize Hun Hunahpu.
In History, we are learning about the Maya Civilisation. We played a game to find out how the different Mayan regions traded goods.
