Thrupp School is seeking to appoint an Admin Secretary to support the Headteacher. Thrupp School is a village school with 132 pupils on roll. Staff and governors are a highly committed team, striving to provide the very best education for the children in their care. The school is looking to appoint an equally committed Admin Secretary.
As Admin Secretary you will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the school. This will include acting as the first point of contact for visitors to the school, answering telephone queries, diary management, drafting letters and updating our information databases.
Knowledge of SIMS is desirable, as duties will include maintaining staff and pupil records, attendance etc.
It is essential that you are well organised, motivated and have excellent communication, IT and inter-personal skills as well as being keen to use your initiative. You will need to be able to manage your time efficiently, have a high level of confidentiality and maintain a good sense of humour!
There is a possibility that we may be able to offer the right candidate the opportunity to progress into the Financial Administrator role. However, if you have the necessary experience and expertise now as a School Financial Administrator (G Grade), please let us know in your application.
The hours are 8.30am - 12.30pm Monday to Friday (Term time + INSET Days).
This post is permanent subject to a 6-month probationary period.
