Thrupp School will hold the elections for the new 2019/2020 School Council Representatives during September 2019. They will have their fist meeting on Friday 27th September.
We are looking forward to discussing charities for the year and ways that we can improve our school.
Thrupp School Council have been very active to start the 2017/2018 school year. They have agreed on priorities for the year, decided upon the charities they wish to support and put into place how other children can pass on information that will be taken to the monthly meetings. There is a display at the top of the stairs.
Thrupp School Council 2017/2018:
We fully recognise the importance of ‘pupil voice’ and involving the people who really count in the development of the school. Every year, two children are elected by each class to represent their views on how to make Thrupp Primary School an even better place in which to be educated. The Council provides a forum for children to air their views and learn to appreciate the views of others. They seek the opinions of their peers and have an important input in the decision making at our school.
The School Council also takes on responsibility for organising both social and charitable events. Their work ranges from promoting and judging talent shows for their peers, to fund raising events for charities e.g. Winston’s Wish, Operation Christmas Child etc.
